I’ll create your cake especially for you so the prices shown are indicative starting prices based on round sponge cakes in my classic cake flavour range.
For fully iced cakes this includes simple side decoration and a typical investment is shown including some sugar flowers.
For semi-naked cakes this includes liaison with your/my florist and my time to decorate your cake, flower costs are additional.
There are 3 standard sizes of each tiered cake – hence the range of portions and starting prices.
For example a large fully iced 3 tier cake is 120 finger portions and starts at £635.
How you’d like your cake to look will influence the size and shape, as well as how many portions you’d like the cake to serve.
I can advise you when we have our initial chat and we’ll refine the details at our consultation.
We’ll design your cake together to suit you and your wedding so the cakes and prices shown here are not “one-size-fits-all” as you can imagine!
The most common way to serve wedding cakes is as finger portions (1×1 inch slices by approx. 5 inches tall) in the evening buffet. In this case I suggest catering for 75% to 80% of your total guest numbers for the evening.
Although it’s less common, if you’d like to serve the wedding cake to all your daytime guests as the main dessert at the wedding breakfast, I suggest dessert portions (2 x 1 inch slices by approx. 5 inches tall) – so you’ll need approximately double the finger portions/twice the cake size quoted for in the portion guide and I can advise you on this.

The prices in the starting price guide include local delivery (15 mile trip from CF41 7HQ) and your quotation will include delivery to your wedding venue.
Fully iced cakes are covered in either a ganache base (chocolate and cream mix that sets firm) with a rolled sugarpaste icing (fondant icing) outer coating OR a thick buttercream icing coating.
Semi-naked cakes are sponge cakes covered in a thin buttercream icing coating where some of the cake shows through.
I only recommend ganache/sugarpaste-iced cakes in the hot summer months.
